A short clip for your product media
Shopify Product Video Maker
The Shopify product video maker turns a product photo into a short visual clip. Download the result, review it, then add it to your product media in Shopify admin. H3 Max works in your browser; it is not a Shopify app and does not sync your catalog.

Generated clip
Give the video a job inside the gallery
A customer opening a mug listing needs to recognize the item before watching a camera move. Keep a clear product photograph available, then use the clip to draw attention to the curve of the handle or the surface of the glaze. The order should make sense when the customer swipes through the gallery on a phone.
Think about the photograph immediately before the video. If that image already shows the whole mug, a modest move toward its visible surface adds a different view of the same composition. A dramatic scene change introduces another setting to understand before the customer has inspected the product.
Product media placement sketch
- Clear product photograph
- Short surface or silhouette clip
- Detail photograph and measured dimensions
An illustrative gallery sequence, not a screenshot of a customer store or a Shopify interface.
Prepare the crop before opening the Shopify product video maker
Choose the image according to where the video will appear. Product Agent inherits the source image ratio. If your gallery uses square photography, prepare a square source with breathing room around the item. A wide room photograph may be useful for a furniture detail page, but it will not automatically become a close vertical view of a chair.
For the mug, leave the full handle and rim inside the frame. Look for a background that separates from the ceramic without a hard cutout edge. A pale mug against a pale wall can hide its shape; a dark shadow through the handle can hide the opening. Resolve those problems in the photograph before asking for motion.
Use the image of the actual variant you plan to sell. A blue glaze and a white glaze need separate source photographs. The Shopify product video maker does not verify SKU identity, and changing a color in a generated scene is not a reliable way to document another stock item.

Generate one item before preparing the collection
Start with Product Agent / Single. Upload your prepared photograph and choose a duration between 5 and 15 seconds. Select 480P or 768P and check the credit amount displayed before submitting. Product Agent prepares its own prompt, so this route does not ask you to write a camera description.
Five seconds is a practical first review length for a single object. Watch the whole clip, then pause around the handle or a strong reflection. A result that looks convincing as a thumbnail can still alter a narrow edge halfway through playback. Save the original photo beside the download so your comparison has a fixed reference.
If you need to describe a particular camera move, use Image to Video with your own motion prompt. The Shopify product video maker opens the simpler product workflow, while the image tool gives you a place to describe movement. Neither route guarantees that a printed label will remain exact.
Move the reviewed file into Shopify
The Shopify product video maker finishes at the downloadable clip. Open the intended product in your Shopify admin and find its Media section. Shopify documents file upload, drag and drop, and selection from existing files; follow the controls currently shown in your store.
Match the product before uploading
Check the product title, variant, and source photo against the downloaded filename. If the footage shows a white mug, do not attach it to a listing that presents only the blue version. Review any shared media used across variants.
Wait for media processing
Shopify converts and stores uploaded media. An upload completing does not mean processing succeeded. If the file fails, inspect its format and encoding against the current help page before exporting a replacement from your editor.
Set a useful gallery position
Arrange the clip where it answers the next visual question. Keep static detail images nearby when the customer needs to read a mark or compare a finish. Check the thumbnail rather than assuming the first frame is a useful cover.
Open the storefront preview
Preview the product in the theme you actually use. Check play controls, media order, and the transition between images and video. Theme behavior can affect the experience even when the uploaded file itself is valid. Open a second product that uses the same template to check whether a gallery setting is shared. A store-wide media change should be evaluated on products with different image shapes, especially if one listing uses tall packaging and another uses wide furniture photographs.

Check the phone view while you can still change it
Open the product page on a narrow screen and swipe from the first photograph into the video. The mug should remain recognizable before playback and during the move. Look for a clipped handle, a crop that enlarges the item unexpectedly, or controls covering the detail you intended to show.
Read the surrounding page with the clip paused. Price, variant selection, and the purchase action should remain easy to reach. If a tall video pushes essential product information too far down, reconsider the source crop or the media placement rather than stretching the file.
Test a fresh page load as well as a cached visit. Avoid treating a fast second visit as evidence that every shopper will see the same loading speed. The Shopify product video maker gives you short footage; your final file, theme, and other page media still affect the storefront experience.
Questions before adding the clip
Does H3 Max publish directly to my store?
No. The Shopify product video maker does not connect to your Shopify account. You generate and download here, then upload in your own admin. Store permissions, product assignment, theme settings, and publication remain under your control.
Can the video replace product detail photographs?
Keep photographs for details customers need to inspect closely. A moving view can introduce shape changes or blur, especially around lettering. Use a measured size diagram for dimensions and a source photograph for an exact label; generated motion cannot verify those facts.
What should I do if only the last second changes shape?
Review whether an external editor can remove the affected part while leaving a useful clip. If the remaining footage no longer answers the intended product question, return to a clearer source and generate again. Check the new credit cost before submission.
