Describe the shot's job, then its movement
For the first line, the empty desk area needs to remain visible. A slow approach may support that view, but a fast pan past the surface could make the explanation harder to follow. Decide what must stay readable before adding the camera instruction.

Generate enough footage for the cut you intend
Choose a duration between 5 and 15 seconds and either 480P or 768P. Review the credit amount before submitting. Five seconds can give you room for a brief insert, while a slower explanation may need a longer source. Generation length and the length used in your edit are separate choices.
After the clip completes, watch it without your narration. Can you identify the clear work area immediately? Does the camera keep the notebook in a stable place? A changing arrangement can contradict an explanation about organizing that arrangement, even if the room looks plausible.
If a particular object must be accurate, start from your own photograph in Image to Video. Its output follows the source ratio, so prepare a vertical photograph before upload. That gives the YouTube Shorts B-roll generator workflow a concrete visual reference, but generated motion still needs inspection.

Use a stable portion of the source while the narrator completes the instruction. Avoid adding a fresh object or a large camera turn beneath a sentence that already requires the viewer's attention.
Review with the captions visible
Captions can cover the exact desk area the shot was chosen to show. Move the text or choose a wider source before exporting. Preview on a phone rather than approving only the large editing monitor.
Clip length and Shorts length answer different questions
The YouTube Shorts B-roll generator makes 5–15 second assets. YouTube's current guidance describes square or vertical uploads up to three minutes as Shorts under its applicable classification rules. That platform limit does not mean H3 Max generates a three-minute video in one job.
You can assemble several assets with your narration in an editor, then export the final Short. Check its actual dimensions, duration, audio, and content disclosures in YouTube's upload workflow. A H3 Max resolution tier alone does not establish every property of the final file.

Can this turn a long video into Shorts?
No. The YouTube Shorts B-roll generator does not import long videos, find highlights, or cut an existing recording. It creates new individual footage from a prompt or reference image. Use your editor for the recorded material and the finished sequence.
Are narration and captions included?
No. Record or prepare them separately and add them in your editor. Keep the narration audible through the cut and check that any sound in the generated export does not compete with it.
